ISLAMABAD, Aug 2 (APP):In a bid to alleviate the financial burden on its citizens, the government has announced a wide-ranging relief package, providing subsidies on essential services and commodities. This move is expected to bring respite to millions of households across the country.
According to Barrister Aqeel Malik, Spokesperson on Legal Affairs, the government has provided all possible relief to people on power and petroleum products, following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The government is well aware of the problems faced by the low-salary group and has taken concrete steps to address their concerns.
On the special instruction of the Prime Minister, a handsome amount has been released to extend relief to power consumers. Additionally, prices of petroleum products have been reduced to lower the burden on the general public.
